A free tool tells you a ballpark. A Comprehensive Valuation Report tells you what your business is actually worth — and what to do about it. Written by PBB's brokers using four recognised valuation methods, completely tailored to your business.
We’ll reply within one business day. No commitment required to enquire.
Why this matters
A generic estimate won’t help you negotiate a better price
Our free valuation tool gives you a useful starting point — a broad range based on your revenue and profit. But buyers don’t pay for averages. They pay based on the specific quality of your earnings, your customer base, and your strategic assets. None of that shows up in a generic calculator.
Without a credible, professionally prepared valuation, you’re negotiating blind. Buyers know this. A well-constructed valuation report shifts the dynamic — it justifies your asking price, pre-empts challenges to your numbers, and signals that you’re a serious seller who has done the work.
Four methods, one blended view
We use every lens a serious buyer will use
Different acquirers value businesses differently. We apply all four recognised methods — then blend them into a single recommended asking price with a clear rationale you can defend in a negotiation.
EBITDA Multiple
The primary lens buyers use. We calculate your maintainable EBITDA, apply market-appropriate multiples for your sector and size, and tell you exactly where you sit in the range — and why.
Revenue Multiple
Particularly powerful for businesses where earnings are depressed or growing. We benchmark against comparable UK transactions to establish what a buyer would pay for your revenue base.
Customer & Asset Value
Beyond the P&L. We value your customer relationships, brand, technology, accreditations and proprietary assets independently — the strategic value that financial buyers miss.
Discounted Cash Flow
Forward-looking value based on your growth potential. We model credible scenarios with appropriate risk adjustments, so you can show buyers the upside they'd be paying for.
Not just a number
We tell you how to increase your valuation — not just what it is today
Every report includes a tailored analysis of the factors that could move your price — upward and downward — and practical steps you can take before going to market. For many owners, acting on these recommendations adds tens of thousands to the final sale price.
We also cover deal structures — earn-outs, vendor finance, equity rollover — so you understand the full range of options available to you, not just the headline number.

Common questions
- How is this different from the free valuation tool?
- The free tool gives you an indicative range using standard multiples. The Comprehensive Valuation Report is prepared by our brokers after reviewing your actual financial information — it applies all four methods to your specific numbers, considers your business's strategic assets, and produces a document you can actually show to advisers and buyers.
- What information do you need from me?
- Typically: two to three years of P&L accounts (management or statutory), a brief overview of your business and customer base, and any details about assets, technology or accreditations you consider valuable. We send a short questionnaire once you get in touch.
- Can I use this report when selling my business?
- Yes. The report is yours to use as you see fit — including sharing it with buyers, advisers or accountants under NDA. Many clients use it as the foundation for their information memorandum when they go to market.
- Does commissioning this report commit me to selling with PBB?
- No. The report is a standalone product with no strings attached. Of course, if you do decide to sell through us, the work is already done — and we can move straight to preparing your business for market.
